I recently moved to Philly, am in a long-term relationship, have a work environment with an average age of 45, and am shy... needless to say, making friends is a bit harder than it used to be. I love doing things with my boyfriend but really miss female companionship and it seems like most of my old friendships have fallen by the wayside. I'm tired of waiting to happen upon someone with similar interests, and I don't seem to be very good at expressing myself right away, so thought I'd try this! I'm 24, don't smoke, and drink occasionally (I prefer small venues or just staying home over dancing and clubbing). I would love to have a female friend to watch (I like comedies, some chick flicks, fu, sci fi, Doctor Who, , etc.), bake, go hiking or swimming, or do one of those dinner/painting class deals with. I'm not a huge fan of shopping but I will be there to tell you you look good in those pants if you need me to be. I could even be a workout buddy but you will be amazed at how slowly I run. I don't care if we have all the same hobbies, it would just be nice to skip past the awkward beginning parts and get to the fun parts, like being there for you when you need an ear and texting you to tell you I saw someone who kind of looks like Benedict today...
